Default Questions on recommended upgrades

Hi all,
I have a 2014 Ultra and have a coupe of questions for the guru's and rocket scientists....I was told it would be a good idea to do the following upgrades...

1) put in a tuner
2) remove the cats
3) replace the stock air assist shocks with regular air shocks and a air compressor

Also, i saw the upgrade of the rear fender light to brake light in the DIY thread but couldn't find the connector..

I'm a little green here so please go easy and assume i know nuttin!

Unfortunately, I am neither a rocket scientist or guru of any kind, but I will tell you what I think anyway. Don't know how long you've had the bike (congrats if you just got it) but before you decide what you might want to change just ride it for awhile. Get a feel for it and get to know your ride.
If you think you need more power or it's running too hot you should consider you could get a tuner, high flow intake and decat the cans. Lots of info here on choices and options on that subject.
I have no experience with that type of suspension and I'm sure those that do will chime in on that, but if you're comfortable with the way the bike handles and rides you don't have to do anything, at least not right away.

I had the same questions, I will tell you what I ended up doing and you can take it for what its worth. no guru or expert here. I replaced the mufflers, with rush mufflers, did a tuner and replaced the breather. I can only tell you it made all the difference in the world with how my rk runs and sounds and the diminished heat factor. I do not plan on doing anything else, It made an incredible difference. I don't know why they don't come from the factory like this. I am told epa has something to do with it.
