Default Late Fathers Day Gift

I have only been riding since April, have put 1100 miles on my 2014 Iron 883. Just got back from a long ride with my 17 year old daughter out to Myakka State Park here in FL. What a great way to spend a Monday morning.

When I purchased my bike the sales person said "owning a motorcycle is going to change your life". At the time I figured this was just salesman talk and brushed it off. Boy was I wrong.

How great is it that I got to share this time with my teenage daughter at an age when spending time with your parents is not considered "cool", and was able to get her to unplug from her electronic devices without any argument, to experience nature on the back of a Harley?

Just thought I would share.

I know it's changed my wife and I...we travel whenever she's off on a weekend, whether it's one or two days, where we rarely did with a car. So, yeah, it's a life changer alright.

It's wonderful to have kids that like to ride. I have 2 daughters. 20 and 15. My 20 year old has gone on rides with me since she was 12 and she loves it. Still takes a ride with me from time to time when she's around visiting. 15 year old never has liked it and probably never will. I find other ways to spend time with her though.
