Potato..potato...question
If I am looking for a local rider/bar hopper and want the old school potato potato potato sound, that you can't get today, what should I be looking for?
I ride solo if that helps, and I don't want to duplicate my RoadKing.
You know, like the old big blocks that almost sound like they are going to stall
Thanks for your insight

Your best bet would be an old shovel head bike. Even lowering the idle down on the twin cams your are risking lower end damage.

I've heard a lot of shovels that seem like they are on the verge of stalling....amazing sound!

shovel for sure. regardless of what anyone says, if you get passed by a shovelhead, you know its a shovel. it's like an old carbed big block.. you can't replicate that sound with a small block.

Well, I heard the new LiveWire was coming standard with a 300 watt amp to play a sound clip of the famed potato-potato-potato from hidden speakers
Harley says, "it will appeal more to the masses than buuuzzzzzzzzzzz.
This will be the easiest way to get the sound you seek..........

You don't want to slow a Twin Cam down below 900 to 1000 rpm. The flywheels are too light to run that slow without risking potential bottom end damage.
