It was my own trailer. I have a 6 x 12 enclosed. At the time I went gas was around $3.50 and up for a gallon. So your trip should be much cheaper than mine. I ran the speed limit and it was around $750 round trip. Hopefully you have accommodations as there will be a ton of bikes there. Make sure you visit Destination Daytona, The Iron Horse Saloon, Turn 4 at the speedway and Main Street Daytona. There are lots of vendors, booths, and all sorts of neat stuff at these venues. You will have a great time!

Get on the website and plan to ride the loop. Its a nice ride that time of year.
Iron Horse, Pub 44, Cabbage Patch, and Main Street bars... All good stuff.
Main street is where its at once it gets dark. It also gets congested and lots of stop and go traffic so if your bike dont like sitting in traffic it can be a pain. I recommend doing a pass during the day unless you wanna sit in traffic.
Parking on main is tough, many residents off side roads will let you park in their lawns for donations, good idea.
OH, almost forgot plan on it taking a couple hours longer if your taking 95S for much. It gets congested with bike week and spring break around the same time.

I'll be trailering down to Atlanta on the 5th and then riding to Savannah, down the ocean front to Daytona.
That is unless others say not to do it that way. I'm right there with ya OP, first big event and I'm just a little south of you in Champaign. Luckily have family around the Daytona area so my costs are lower there.
guys any advice on which rides to hit or if the keys are worth the ride down, etc..
