Default Trailering to Daytona

Will be trailering from N.Y to Daytona for bike week. First trip with a trailer. Any suggestions on staying over at a motel on the way down. What do you guys look for Big chain or a little mom and pops motel? Do you try and park in a well lit area? Would be sick to come out in the morning to find no truck trailer or bikes. Whats your ideas, Thanks guys. Steve

I've parked my Harley at various motels up and down I-95 and never worried about it. I usually stay at smaller places right off the interstate and just park close to the room.

My wife and I usually stay at the Deltona Inn off I-4. It's about 30 miles west of Daytona, but the rooms are clean, the restaurant is good, and there is secured trailer parking at the rear of the hotel. The hotel is far enough from Daytona that you can get a quiet night's sleep. We ride the bikes all day, then secure them in the trailer for the evening. It's only about 45 miles from Orlando (if you want to go see the MOUSE!).

Thanks for your ideas, my main concern is on the way down we would like to stay over somewhere. Where did you get your bike stollen from in Daytona? At your motel or down town. What do you guys think about the smart alarm from HD? I do have the HD security system. Would it be a good idea to get it and alarm the bike in the trailer at night so if anyone moved the tailer it would go off. Thanks for your input guys.
