Default Removing ignition again

I removed the ignition on my 15 RG to pull the bars back a bit. When I reinstalled it i didn't get it seated all the way and now it is sitting about a half inch higher than where it is supposed to be. I turned the bars before reinstalling to make sure they wouldn't hit the new windshield and dropped the ignition back in. The bars are locked now and the ignition switch basically swings to the left and right freely and loosely. I tried to remove it again...truning to the left, pushing the button underneath and pushing and turning the key and lifting up. It seems blocked or caught in there. Any ideas on what to do would be appreciated.

You need to align the ignition switch before you insert the lockset. An alignment tool works best for this but it can be done with a screwdriver if you know how.
