Is that the start button on the right with a white and a yellow wire running to it? The white wire seems to have a green stripe on it? Where does the other end of that white wire go to?

that white with the green stripe along with another white coming from the harness traveling from inside the main source (in the front headlight area) were both attached to a now missing terminal on the run/off rocker switch---Jeff

What is supposed to be there ...
an orange and a red to the brake light switch
a green and a brown to the turn signal button

The above two appear to be OK?

a gray and a white to the run/off switch; the white is from the ignition coil; the gray is from the ignition circuit breaker. Looks like the gray has been replaced with a blue?

a white from the run/off switch to the start button

a black to the start button from the starter relay

Anyway, i have lost track of the original problem. Can you sort out the wires OK? Some are original, some appear to be replaced by a PO. You probably need a new start button, but not a new run/off switch? Can you handle the soldering?

Original wiring goes someting a like this: white wire from ignition ->
RUN/STOP switch -> START button -> Starter relay.
and -> ignition coil

Your wiring has been altered from original so there can be anything....

Providing the new rocker switch comes with a 2nd terminal which I beleive broke off I think I can handle it, Yes I can handle the soldering. If worse comes to worse I will draw a very detailed diagram, take a pic, since the ones I have posted are hard to see and send them along. Will wait until the parts arive, give it a shot and see how it works--Here is what I have so far-------from bike down below-blue to left side of rocker switch-white to broken off rocker terminal-traveling along to one side of start switch- yellow to other side of start switch, coming from down below----------green and brown to functioning turn signal button. will advise when parts arrive---------wish me luck-------Jeff
