2012 Nightster Break In
About 600 miles into the break in - when I try to get into 4th gear around 40/45 mph the engine lugs and shimmies - feels like crap so I end up loosing spread and downshifting back to 3rd .... Only if I throttle it up to 50 or more in 3rd gear will it feel somewhat smooth … is this all part of the break in? Or is the gears on this thing that bad? I keep reading in the blogs to not rev up the engine during the break in but lugging the engine can't be good.
