nightster vibes under acceleration
Hey everyone im new to this forum and harleys all together just picked up my new vivid black nightster and absolutely love it, put 120 miles on day one. I havea question about it vibrating under acceleration on the pegs pretty bad is this normal? Will it get better? I have noticed it has gotten alittle better with miles.What would be the possible causes if not the norm? Againi finally get why everyone that has a harley loves them so, count me in!

Hey Leester. Welcome to the forum and welcome to owning a 1200N. I noticed the same thing as you when I first got my bike, but after 1-2K miles it completely went away. I think the rubber motor mounts have to sort of break in just like the engine. Anyway, enjoy your Sportster and be safe.

Make sure your not lugging it, mine clunks like an old maid under about 2500 RPM under load, don't be afraid to rev a sportie motor a bit.

It may be fine and on the other hand it may not. My wife has an 07 1200C. At 300 miles we had all the mounts replaced under warranty. It seems better now. Just saying....

Thanks for the big welcome everyone,i did notice the more i rev it the better it is, i was babying it at first because dealer said to keep it under 50 until 50 miles,still riding it kind of easy til i get a few more miles on it but almost ready to let it loose!Happy as hell to be in HD family
