Hello to all of the Harley Riders and thanks to the moderators for letting me join! I have had a Harley vision for over 25 years, but raising kids, house payment, yada yada it just was'nt in the cards. This spring I was looking at bikes on CL and found a 07' Road King about 30 miles away from me. I called the guy and set up a time to take a look and hurry up and wait for the time to take a look! He said when you get here it will be parked out by the the road, can't miss it. Made the trip out there the next day and there she was. 07' RK with 4,800 miles on it. I have'nt felt that kind of rush in many years, I knew right then and there that I was looking at my new bike. There was a for sale sign on the windshield at a price of 16.5g. Crossed out and 15g. Crossed out and 14.5g. Crossed out again down to 13.5g. When I first talked to the guy on the phone he said he lowered the price again to 13g. The bike is black cherry metalic, love the color, hate the color. shows road dust really bad, seems like I am cleaning the bike as much as I ride it! After talking with the guy about the bike, he explained how it operates and said throw a leg over and take a ride. Wow, hearts pumping fast again! After about a five mile test flight I was hooked immediately! When I came back I aked the guy why he was selling it. He switched to a Tri-Glide and did'nt ride it anymore. I told the guy I would take the bike. I was waiting on a pending sale sale of my WWII army jeep that I had restored and was going to have the funds in about two weeks. But I was kind of a jackass about the bike deal and forgot to give the guy a down payment to hold the bike. He calls me the next day and asks me if I really wanted the bike? What the @uck was I thinking! I sent him a g that day to hold the bike. While waiting for the sale of my jeep, I could'nt stand it anymore. Went to my credit union, got the rest of the $$ and went and picked it up. Oh yaa! At last! Can't wait for next spring! Rick
