LONG TIME RIDER, New to HD
Hey,
I am new to HD. I don't actually own one as of the moment. Looking to get one in the next day of so. I am getting off of a Yamaha Roadliner. I am looking at the heritage and the Fatboy. I have always liked the look of the fat boy.
The bike i am going to look at tomorrow is a 2000 Fatboy. Has 13k miles. Comes with a tall windshield, Lind bar, and the driving lights. Also, it has V&h pipes. Any tips on issues i might encounter?
Thanks

Go with the Fatboy. The bags and seat on a Heritage are butt ugly and the bling will attract chicks. The ride is too comfy, you won't want to get off. The ridiculously high windshield will keep you free of bug juice, real bikers have bugs in their teeth. The rear turn signal bar is too wide making it more visible and looks like a chin-up bar for midgets, it's more fun when cagers don't know which way you're turning. The mini-ape style handlebars keep your arms and shoulders cramp free. The over all distinguishing old school retro look will attract attention wherever you go. You don't need all that, do the safe thing.
