I had xpel clear bra applied to the following areas on my FLHTK
Front of fairing
Top of front fender
Fronts of lower fairings
Front of tank
Rear/sides of tank (where my jeans rub the tank)
Front of saddle bags
Top of saddle bags
Turned out great. The xpel material is glossy and you can't tell it is there unless the edge catches light. The guy that did mine came highly recommended and did an excellent job. finding someone who knows what they're doing is crucial.

Have a look at this company.

I have a kit on my TriGlide, minus the fairing kit. The product is good quality and easy to apply (and remove if you ever need to).
You can barely notice it's on and the metal flake of the paint shows through.

I did all the forward facing areas in 3M and I'm very happy with it. About 8k miles and not one chip yet.
I got trapped on a newly graveled road once for over 20 miles. The worst part was the cars coming from the opposite direction were throwing rocks right at me. I ended up with a few chips in the windshield, but the paint is still perfect.
I give some credit to the paint protection, but I've also got to hand it to Harley's paint. I expected to have chips everywhere I hadn't protected, but those areas also came through with no damage!
