I have them here but have not installed them, I'm actually getting used to the bike and think it runs good down low. I may get bored and try it.

I would cutting some of the cone off, seems excessive to have the cone. What do I know though.

That's what I would do. After that cone on the QQ baffles to reduce sound, there not much restriction there at all. The slight step down to the inside diameter of the baffle and the little washer that's in there for the back pressure... Far less restriction than a CAT. I absolutely love the sound without the cone.

The whole mesh cone flush to the baffle.

Yes I'm debating cutting them off talked to the maker told him he said I could and do it carefully at the welds and could reinstall with a mig/tig.
So now i have to make up my mind remove or modify. seem gas milage is down to since install less air i can fix that with a AFR adjustment But bike is Dyno tuned without the baffles ..Quandary

Well i didn't cut them off i removed them and after riding 80 up the freeway and could barley hear the my music (biketronics 4180 and speakers) and talking super loud when i got off the bike hearing not so well I put the baffles back in i guess ill be back to auto tuning with my SERT really hate to do that so much for the DYNO tune.

Another option are the Thunder torque inserts from dk customs. They work but you would need to drill a 1/4 inch hole ~2-3” from the end of your slupons
