Default I've really screwed up now

I've always been one of those guys that was never excited about chroming or blacking out my bike. All of the money I've spent on it has been focused on things to make the ride more comfortable; hammock seat, back rest, highway pegs, soft lowers, etc. However, I recently had my forks replaced under warranty and paid the difference to have them replaced with chrome forks. It was only for ease of cleaning and to avoid the pitting problem again, but when I picked it up the first thing that stood out was how crappy my rims and rotor looked against that nice, shiny chrome. Now I have to go out and buy chrome rims and rotors. Damn my luck.

I've found a couple of sources on EBay for a chrome wheel exchange. They're $633 plus a $700 core deposit. Has anyone found a better deal on high quality chrome rims?

What was wrong with the forks that they were covered under warranty?

The "Bug" has bit! Lol.

It will look even better once you get new shiny loops added to your rig.

They were pitting. Harley has a one time "environmental" warranty on them. Once they start pitting you can have them replaced under warranty and it's only ~$350-$400 to get the chrome upgrade.

I've actually thought about powder coating. Would you mind snapping a couple of pics of that so I can get a better idea of how it looks?

exchange rim and rotors at Sport Chrome for $625.00 - just front. Too bad last month the same thing for $485. Of course once you do the front then you'll look at it and need the rear done too. You're in Florida these guy's are in Calif. shipping would kill you. It's never ending.

If you think you can't see the back, wait till the front goes on. All you'll see is the back not done...
