Default HD Formula+ Trans Weight?

Does anyone know the weight of HD Formula + Trans Lubricant? Is it 75W gear oil?

I asked this question earlier and another forum member said it was a straight 50w with antishear additives. I don't know where he got that info as HD is secretive about it's contents.

I don't know what Formula + consists of or even the weight for that matter. I have never used the stuff, nor ever plan on using it in the future. I personally believe it has no business in the transmission, but should be fine in the primary though.

I think it is way overpriced compared to regular gear oil, whichSHOULD be in the transmission anyhow. Using Formula + in the primary is probably ok, but once again....there are plenty of other fluids for much less that does just as good.

They can put whatever they want to put in it......and I'm still not gonna use it.

I have formula+ in my shovel, it works fine for me. It is also factory fill for all new Harley bikes.

I don't know what the weight of Formula+ is, but I do use it in the primary and transmission of the wife's '07 Softail Custom and my kid's '07 883 Sportster Custom. Both bikes run well with it- no tranny noises or abnormal clunking, and the clutches work smoothly.

My EGC currently has Redline MTL in its primary as I got it in a package deal, but to be honest I see no difference between MTL and the Formula+ or Amsoil 20W-50 that has been in it in the past.
It will get Formula+ when I do the next service on it.
