For 2008 6 speed transmission anyone here use "Gear Saver". I was told it isbetter and used more than HD SyntheticTrannyOil.
I was told it will shift better, smoother Etc.
What do you guy's use? and Why?
The "gear saver" I use is from Bel-Ray. I changed at the 1000 mile mark and went with Royal Purple. Reason being myinner thighwas getting cooked every time I would ride from the heat. Now that it is cold here, I sure coulduse that heat again. No really, it does shift smooth, you will still hearthe "clunk" when you shift but it does seem to be smoother especially trying to get into neutral. I would highly recommend it. IMHO! Remi
I am getting ready to change the trans fluid using the Redline shockproof heavy. It's been getting a lot of good reviews from the folks here. Will report the results when I get done.
I use Mobil 1 75-90 Synthetic Gear Oil in Spring and Fall, Mobil 1 90-140 Synthetic gear oil in the summer. Very smooth shifting, great performance so far.

Big difference when I switched to the Mobil 1 Syn gear oil. Nice and smooth now.
