Default Addendum to earlier oil post

For all y'all interested in the oil analyses I got the word from the lab to send the samples in. They'll be analyzing the following oils: HD Syn 3 20w-50, Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w-50, Mobil 1 MX4T 10w-40, and the new version of Mobil 1 15w-50 car oil. When the results are in I'll post them here.

Thanks, Mac, for the M1 10w-40.

Amsoil is coming out with new formulations in April. Hopefully someone will send some in. If/when they do, I'll post the results.

THanks Skip, obviously we all are interested in what you find out... Although the friendly discussions about preferences, experiences, beliefs, etc.. always prove to be fun too....

Found something out when I took the package to the post office. Ya can't mail liquids. I didn't even bother asking about what if the liquids were oil.

Shame on ya, Mac!

I believe UPS or FedEx will do it. I'm really interested in the results too. I'm using the HD 20w50 right now, but if theres something better and cheaper, I'd like to know.

WHOOPS! I walked in there with that quart of oil, walked over to the priority mail supplies, boxed it up, wrote your address on it, and mailed it off. I didn't know you couldn't mail liquids.

I think that since it was in a plastic bottle and factory sealed it would be fine, right?

Looking forward to the results. I'm curiuos to see if I can't put a better oil in my clutch when I do my 5K interval.

Mac
