They may be made by purolator for HD but the chances are the media inside, filtration level and bypass pressure level will be different form the automotive ones. HD is very specific in the 5 micron spec to get all the large particulate crap out of your oil as well as lower bypass pressure and ADBV to prevent cold start oil starvation. Both of those issues are long term engine life variables. Using an automotive filter that has different specs may cause engine wear problems that are way more costly than the difference in price. IMO
The Purolator website shows the Premium Plus has a 10-20 micron filtration level. There is no data for the Pure One filter but I doubt it's below 10 micron. The Purolator part number for the TC88 is M16822. Which is not sold on Amazon.
