Default Valvoline VR1 ...now in a synthetic

Any users of the Synthetic formula yet. I know the conventional got great reviews

Just tried Syn 3, VR1 Syn, and Rotella. Did 3 oil changes over 7500 miles. For my money go with the VR1 Syn 20w50. If you have an O'Reilly's Auto Parts near you stock up! They have it on sale for $4.99 a qt and can order as much as u want. Also try the Mobil Syn Oil filter. Best combination i've found. Happy trails!

I'm pretty sure Valvoline states this oil is not recommended for wet clutches. So it's fine in the engine but you need a jaso spec oil for primary,like rotella,or any v-twin or motorcycle oil.
Tranny needs gear oil anyways so no issue there.
The used oil analysis' I've seen on the vr-1 have all been stellar so you can't go wrong with it.
Big Cahuna uses it exclusively I think. Message him.

Been using this oil in my 2006 FLSTI in motor.I use it with a K&N 171c
