Default Baker High torque bearing PN 189-56

I'm powder coating my inner primary so I will be needing to replace the IPB. I'd like to replace the stock setup with the baker high torque bearing(PN 189-56) but the website says it only fits 85-07. My bike is an 08 fxd, any reason this won't for my bike?

No there's a race pressed onto the mainshaft.

In 08 they changed the diameter of the mainshaft that's why it won't work. We will get one made at some point. The main reason the IPB bearings are failing is the automatic primary tensioner over tightening the chain. If that happens the strongest bearing in the world would not hold up. We found this out on our 07 bike.

Ok, I figured it was something like that. So I guess it's hd then. I'm going to be getting the attitude adjuster so the chain should be adjusted within spec. Thanks for the response mark. How's the comp coming along?

We will have ten pre- production models done by the end of the week and they will be sent out to select people for further abuse and if all reports come back good the production machine gets fired up and we will start selling them. The original one has been put through some serious abuse and it is still holding up. I think we have a winner.
