Default Trouble getting bike into neutral

Just recently installed a FM107 engine upgrade and updated the clutch spring to the heavy duty clutch spring from Barnett. The trouble I'm having now is when at a stop the bike is nearly impossible to get into neutral. I have adjusted the clutch at the basket tightened bolt till just barely snug and then backing it out 1/2 turn. I also have adjusted the clutch cable till the clutch begins to grab about 3/8 of an inch off the grip. Running mobile 1 full synthetic in the primary. What gives? What am I missing? Thanks in advance guys.

Default Nature of the beast

Thats how it is when you start modifying everything. It beats grabbing neutral in a power shift.....

Put a dial indicator on the pressure plate and pull in the clutch lever and see how much throw you are getting. You want .090 but .080 will work any less then that you will have a hard time finding neutral. 99% of the time when you can't find neutral it's clutch related.

My shop manual calls for 1/16-1/8th free play at the lever. Maybe your heavy duty calls for more. Check it out.

SOLVED:

issue appears to be related to too much fluid in the primary. pulled about 4oz out and re-adjusted the clutch and its working fine now. Thanks for your help guys.

Thanks for the update. There are far to many that ask for opinions/help and then NEVER come back with what the actual solution was.
