Finding Neutral Difficult

Finding Neutral Difficult
SE extra plate clutch and heavy duty diaphragm spring. Idle is around 1k RPM, clutch engagement is smooth and firm with no chatter. Shifting up and down is smooth with no issues. Recently inspected clutch hub, clutch plates, adjusted primary chain, adjusted clutch pushrod and cable to spec before replacing primary oil.
Problem is neutral is hard to find when it is running, shut it off and she goes right in there but if it is running it bounces between 1 and 2nd

OP: Make sure the primary is not overfilled.

No I am not assuming that. The stack needs to be the same installed height. I am going by the same height and 1 more friction disc and 1 more steel. If the rod moves x and there is 1 more plate and steel then the separation is divided up more times so there has to be less separation between each disc/plate.

Dude I am not going on the assumption that the plates are the same thickness. The plates are thinner and cannot be mixed with the std clutch. The stack is the same height as non extra plate. How can the extra plate clutch possibly have the same thickness plates and remain the same height? Answer: it can't. A 10 disc clutch wont separate the same as a 9 disc clutch with the same rod movement, period, end of story! I have explained this 2 other times and somehow it is not being understood, oh well......................
