Default DD6 from 04 softail in my 03 touring

I can buy a DD6 from a crashed softail, i know the primary chain is to long, but is there any other differnces like top drum, main shaft, speedo that that would prevent me from doing this. i know I should just call Baker, but thought I'd ask here.

I think it will go in no prob, but Mark is the expert, he works for Baker, I would expect him to pop in with the answer any time.

The trap door is different, it has an ear for the exhaust bracket which will interfere with your oil spout. I can get you the right one or you can cut it off. Heads up if you decide to cut it off remember that it is chrome and the chrome may peel off.

Default thanks guys

mark would I be able to use my trap door without any machining.. also he has the 28 tooth compensator, but I expect the chain will be a different length, if so I'll need one for a 03 road king setup.

There is no way to make the door work without removing the ear the oil spout is in the way. You will need a 78 pitch chain to go along with the 28 tooth comp sprocket.
