I look like this everyday. I had dry eyes before lasix. The surgery didn't work so I am back in toric contacts. Sometimes it's the price you pay.

I wear a couple of different brand modular helmets. You won't ride with the front flipped up. It catches wind, feels top heavy, your head will be buffeted by wind. The advantage for me comes in during quick stops like a gas station, where you can cool off by flipping the face up without taking your helmet off. Closed, and with the visor down, they feel like a full-face. With the clear visor down, there is little wind turbulence in either a full-face of modular, so that may help your eyes.

I have never tried a modular helmet, but I don't think it will block the wind more than goggles. Are your goggles quality and fit you right? I don't know what style yours are but you might try the full 1 piece style goggles....?

i use a modular, but as said above. I cant imagine it could be better than goggles.

I've been thinking about this thread all day today, as I had to run some errands while at work, and rode my bike in. I made sure to pay attention to how the wind feels on my face while wearing my helmet, both city riding and on the highway.

My helmet is the HJC IS-Max 2 (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/hjc-is-max-2-helmet-solid) and when I have everything down, I only feel wind where the helmet doesn't cover (so my neck) and maybe a little bit along the chin line and my ears. Nothing around my eyes, and I have all the vents open. This particular helmet also has a sun shield, so that could possibly help you out, too? Though I think most modular helmets have them.

Could be worth a shot. I ordered mine through Cycle Gear and they have a 7-day exchange policy...but if you still get dry eyes, you can't return the helmet, just exchange it. So, something to think about...

Thanks guys for info. Sorry about taking a while to get back to everybody Iam on the road now coming from Illinois to Oregon and Washington. I think I might try the modular it can't be any worse than the 3/4 Iam wearing now. I will also try the Systane drops to see how they work that is one I have not tried. Thanks again for the info

Trying a modular helmet might be a good idea for you. experimenting with the vents , I could see how it would help you.
Wife and I both wear modular helmets

They won't look great, but swimmer's goggles oughta seal well. Just a shot.

They may not be great for looking around, either, so probably not a good idea.

I would make sure you get a modular helmet that includes a chin curtain. That will cut down on a lot of the wind (and noise) up through the bottom of the helmet. If you want to try one cheap look at cyclegear. They have one on sale for $99 almost every month. I can vouch for the 5 year warranty, it worked for me.

Try a helmet skirt. It works on any full face helmet
