Default Natchez Trace Parkway

Is it paved all the way or is some of it dirt/gravel. Couldn't find info on the National Park website.
Would appreciate any info.

No part of the Trace is unpaved. I did a thread on it around here somewhere.

Rode from South to North Tennessee on the Trace, very nice and maintained parkway. But, lightning was an issue for us during a particularly bad storm. Had to park the bike under the roof next to the public bathrooms in between the benches and hide for about an hour. It was a serious storm and nowhere else to go.

But that was likely a rare occurrence, maybe......

We also had to pull into a rest room area during a storm. It is a small 2 lane paved road the entire way with lots of wildlife and a 50mph speed limit. I liked the ride but it gets a little old after a few hundred miles!

Lot of rangers when we did it. If you are not into the history and the side stops, may not be the best plan. Me, I loved it!

The Trace is an awesome cruise. I live near it and ride it frequently. Do it.

I've done this road twice by motorcycle and once in my convertible.
+1 on doing a search.
I (we) were down that way last summer and the weather was great.
Lower speed limits near the Jackson, MS area.
We spent one night in Jackson, one night in Tupelo and just took our time doin' the Trace.
Slow, peaceful (sometimes dull) two-lane cruise. 5th gear most of the time.
Some deer and other wildlife so beware, especially during early morning and late evening hours.
Only a few fuel stops on the Trace.
There's a small station that has everything you may need in Collinwood, TN, just about 15 miles north of the TN/AL and west off of the Trace.

The Loveless Café is located on the northern end of the Trace (LH side)
Start looking for it once you see signs for Columbia.
They have some good southern cooking.

The H-D dealership in Jackson is an old style shop.
They REALLY support our military!!! Ask them for details.

Its all Paved. One of the best cruise rides you'll take. I have an office in Nashville (north end) and office in Jackson , MS and two projects in Natchez MS on the South end of the trace. Don't ride it after dusk dark. There are too many deer willing to clip you off the bike for no good reason. The road is a two lane but is not small as one poster chimed in. They are 12 foot federal width lanes.

The Marriott Resort around Florence Al is a great overnight. Natchez Trace HD is close by there as well..
