Barber Motorsports Park
Rode over Saturday to the Barber Vintage Festival in Birmingham. Beautiful weather and a great time. First time for the festival, but I had been to the museum.
Just as we arrived, they had the Century Race. All bikes had to be at least a hundred years old.
Huge swap meet, vendors, lots of racing lots of people and bikes, Wall of Death.
If you like motorcycles, you need to see the museum.

Its a great event, you can watch vintage bikes race on the road course as well as vintage MX, Trials and Cross Country. If you like to see vintage bikes this is the place to be every Oct, IMHO the facilities there are second to none. If you are looking for any vintage parts or everything you need to start a bike project the swap meet is huge and seems to go on forever.
Of course the museum which is open year round is a place you can easily spend an entire day.
The event was this past week end but for anyone interested in going next year here is the website

I would suggest if you plan to go book hotel rooms early as they fill up quick, however they do have several RV camping lots on site as well as tent camping

Damn, we had plans to go this year (to the Museum) but had to cancel the last 6 days of our ride plan due to family stuff. Looks good. Any recommended hotels right near it? We were going to go from Maggie Valley over to there for a day then on to Natchez after.
Next year maybe.
Next year maybe.
