It has been many years since I was in Canada and I can't honestly say how far it is but I will 2nd Banff and Lake Louise, I am a fan of both areas and there is some great country up there to see. I also like Montana and just an idea, but have you ever been to Flathead Lake and Glacier Park? Flathead lake is amazing in its size and Glacier Park has some really rugged looking mountains, if you like mountains like I do.

I have never been to Montana at all. I've been through the southern part of Wyoming a few times, but never really stopped there. So that's the closest I've been to Montana.
