101 in June
My question's are: 1) What are the must see sights while on the 101? 2) Any good places to stay overnight ie. B&B's and places to eat? 3) Is the Vancouver - San Fran leg reasonably achievable in three days?
Also, any advise pertaining to the rest of our trip would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
3 days is possible but you are going to be on the road a fair amount of time. If you plan to ride the 101 literally from Olympia to SF you can cut at least half a day off if you cut over from Olympia to Aberdeen. Then depending on traffic and what you like to stop and see I suggest riding down into the harbor at Depoe Bay, Oregon and imagine the fishing fleet coming in or out of the narrow harbor entrance during a storm. Visit the Tillamook cheese factory in Tillamook Oregon, this can be hit and miss depending on what stage of production they are in when you get there. Finally when you get into the redwoods south of Eureka pull over and walk into the forest and lay down so you can look up at the sky. Although I think that was a lot better in the 60's than it is now.....
There are ton's of motels and restaurants, I'll let somebody who lives up there fill you in on those.
