Default Gangster Apes

Finally got the new bars installed. It completely changed the bike. I wish I hadn't waited so long to do it!

I've been wanting to do this since I got my bike last year ..... what size bars did you go with ???.. I've even contacted Carlini about the gangster apes and they said I'd have to change out the riser ..... was that the case ???.. was there any other modifications that had to be done ???.. Do you have a photo with the windshield on the bike ???.. Thanks for the help in advance .....

BTW ..... Looks great !!!..

Default bar mods

Yes, you do have to change the riser and clamp. You will need longer clutch, brake lines. Longer wires for all the controls. Other than that the tech said it was straight forward. I have not put the windshield on as I do not care for it. I put the 14" on. Couldn't be happier with the result!

What cables did you use? According to my local HD parts guy, doesn't make a long enough clutch cable that matches the OEM cables. I'm undecided between the 14" and 16" bars. I don't care for the windshield either just was wondering if it would work with the shape of the bars, as I do use it on long rides because of the ole lady. Thanks again in advance.

The windshield wI'll work depending on how far forward you mount the bars...

I am going to do the same on my 2014 Road King CVO but am going with 16". Do you have more pics? It appears your dealer ordered all the parts, mine said I would have to order from Carlini as they couldn't?
