I have had my new bike for a month and have about 5000 miles on it. Having a couple problems, first, the navigation locks up within a hr of taking off, the only way to fix it is to stop and turn off the bike for a few minutes. That's only a temporary fix, it will lock up again. Second, the front brakes make this grinding noise. The dealership said that it was normal. I don't believe them. Has anyone else had these issues?

Make sure that you have the latest download for your radio as mine did the same thing before the latest download.

 

I have the same bike purchased it end of June and have 9k on it and do not have any noise whne using the front brake. My radio locked up the other day for the first time, screen froze up and would not respond to anything. I made a stop for fuel and after starting up again everything worked. As far as I can tell I am up to date on the software.

 

Purchased mine Dec 26, 10000 miles later no issues. No brake noise and no infotainment lock up.

Better get used to the dealer telling you "that's normal"

It's a way of life with these things.

 

Unfortunately, it doesn't happen only with Harley dealers. All dealers do the same thing, I don't care what brand. If they think they can get away with the reply "They all do that" or It's operating as designed", they will always try using it.
