Bought a 2016 CVO RG a couple weeks before a trip down to Gulf Shores AL. Hauled *** for 3-4 days to get my 1k service in before the trip. Had noticed some noise when idling after it was more than warmed up, mentioned it to my local moco, they said no worries. Fast forward to vacation, get down to gulf shores and have added at least another 1k miles, and the noise has amplified quite a bit. Friends I'm riding with think it's going to take a total ****. Ride over to the Florida side and stop into a dealer. They agree it sounds like crap. Tear off the primary and determine that the compensator wasn't tightened properly. They believe they have fixed it, give me the bike back. Noise isn't gone, in fact on the last legs of the trip home it sounds worse than before.
Going to take it over to the moco this week, drop it off and tell them I don't want it back until they fix it. Just want to see if anyone has had a similar issue on a new cvo? And yes I disabled eitms, because that made it sound even worse.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Going to get it warmed up this weekend and take back to the dealer I bought it from. Going to make them listen to it, and leave it if necessary.
i have a noise too, sounds like something banging in motor and i have eractic idle i only have 125 miles on it dropping off at dealer tomorrow im hoping for the best.

Pretty much the same thing. I haven't got mine back to the dealer yet. If you find out what it is, please let me know.
Bike is now at dealer they are going to do the clutch recall and check the noise manager thinks it might be something with compensator. My bike is a 2016 street glide cvo. Heard the 2017 103 streetglide run , it sounds good a lot less noise from motor
Took my wife for a ride over to the dealer to spend some gift card money we scored at a charity auction. She said you better get this POS into service ASAP.
Words that should never be spoken about my beloved CVO. I have to agree with her though. If this was my daily driver I'd be totally pissed and have a rental now. When I pull up to a stop in Neutral, and let out the clutch, it sounds horrible, worse than it did when I took it in while in Florida.
I have no doubt they will get it fixed and I'll continue to enjoy my MC, but they should have done it when I pointed it out for my 1K service.
