Default Troubles With Shovels

I am really trying hard not to light a match and burn down my garage with my '74 FLP still in it! Every turn I take I can't find the part, tool or aftermarket replacement for my Pig! I must spend eight hours of every day off I have for the last 2 months, searching. Glad I found the forum to vindicate myself from thinking I was the 'only' one with this issue. Thanks to all of the posts from the guys with the Tappet plug issues. Think I may have found the right drag link for use on mine.

Default Hey Y'all

Thanks for the replies. Don't get on the 'Puter as much as I'd like but was happy to make contact with other Hog owners that understand the heartache and joy of it all. FLP is a '74 FL-1200 Police special. 74 CI of WHAT HAVE I DONE!!! Got it for a couple grand at auction. Now I'll spend a little more changing out a few things. Chaincase cover (Primary to you EVo fans) had a small crack I can get welded. You know... just a few minor things. Now I wanted to check the Tappet screen for debris/dirt/foreigners and I couldn't remove the plug. I have learned a couple of things and I will gladly share these tricks and tips soon. First I have a few chores to get to before Mama gets home. You know the rule,,, "if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!!! Back soon!

Default Troubles with ShovelsII

Drag Link is what I learned from another posting here and refers to a type of drive Bit that looks like a flat tip screwdriver but wider to fit the plug. Think they are often used on Lawnmowers and tractors. ALSO, VIN# IS 1A#####H74. Shiny side up!

1A is an FL [not even an H] and 7H is a Police Model.
There is No H74...Never was...Never will be
