Default Finding the year for an EVO tranny

I was going to change my shovel to a 5 speed and bought an EVO tranny. Now I am not sure I am going to do this but need to find the year of the EVO tranny serial #WA060703504. I can supply pics if necessary. No kicker and a straight shaft.

Year don't mean much...
Did it come out of a softail??
What is the attraction of the 5-Speed?? You do realize that both High gears are 1:1 right? My Shovel has enough torque to pull 3rd gear from walking speed to 35-40 MPH..after that??? Highway speeds. But...It ain't a 5-speed and those shift points are OK...

Yeah you need to pop a couple pics in, there's several configurations on the 5's and like Race said a close ratio setup 4 sp is still 1:1 on the final output and you don't have to dick around with making stuff fit and clearance issues.

I said I WAS going to put in my shovel. I guess you missed the WAS part. FYI, I am not looking for advice on what to do with my shovel.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Telling me what I need or don't need and how your bike runs was so helpful! My post only required an answer, not unsolicited advice.

Guess you missed the part where I said no such thing, advice I'm guilty of sorry.

I'm not here. I can see this was a mistake. I sure don't want to ruffle the feathers of a Big Kahuna.
