valve guide seals
what are some good valve guide seals for a 1981 shovelhead, supposedly new guides were installed 10 years ago but they installed guide seals then, low mileage since then but my exhaust guides are leaking by. why install guide seals on new guides unless they didn't install new guides.

Are the seals still attached to the guides ? I've taken heads apart to see the seals riding up and down with the valve stem

we use teflon seals, they will out last the stock type seals 10 times over.yops of guides must be machined to install them though

I would pull the heads and see what guides had been done and inspect all of them.
