Default "72 FLH Hit The Road Last Night!

So after about 5 weeks of wrenching and polishing, the 1972 FLH I picked up hit the road! Here is a before and after pic!

The chrome on the saddlebag guards was pretty wasted so I left those off. The seat is original HD, but not for this year. Other than that, the bike is about 98% original.

What a difference between the before and after pics. Very nice bike. How did you find the bike? Any history on it?

Not sure what shape your battery is in but a thought...Jireh sells a direct replacement for the 65-84 FLH models that is sealed in stead of the lead-acid type. using one on my 65 w/o problem for 2 years now.

as far as batteries go, if you want an AGM battery with a little more juice, this is the only one i've come across that's a direct fit. haven't tried it yet, but will be ordering soon! the guy who showed it to me has used it for a few years now and likes it
