'80 FLT stock exhaust, left rear mount...this is the only spot seems to me where this mounts. nothing in TFM or parts manual confirms or denies.

if this is correct what I can't figure out how the bottom of the side panel mounts, since it should mount at this same spot.

did you go to install the side panel i dont remember its been forever since i had an 80 FLT in the shop and my 81 is totally different

i think it has a tab extension if the hole dose not line up - but again i cant remember
