brass(?) parts in transmission
I'm replacing throwout bearing in '79 4 speed transmission. When I take the kicker cover off, I find what appear to be brass bits and pieces inside. I can't seem to figure out what part or parts this is. Prior to bearing going out, it shifted ok, a little clunky, but ok. Anyone know what parts are brass inside the tranny.... either inside the kicker cover, or inside the tranny itself? There's not alot of it, but I'm befuddled over it.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

the kicker driven gear has a brass bushing < the one on the main shaft - if it wiggles the bush is bad its in the kicker cover -- My guess -- - and the clutch operating shaft - as well as the kicker shaft all have bushings --
and the main shaft has a bush for 4 th gear But its on the other side of the gearbox
the shift drum in the top cover has brass bushings also on the other side
1 / 2 idler gear - and the 3 / 4 also have bushings But they are captured so no debris
