Default Map changes for 120

I'm working on a 107 to 120" build utilizing the same 777 cams and heads that I am currently tuned for with Power Vision Auto Tune. Would I be in the ball park if I jumped my current 107 map 10 percent in the VE table for a break in base map for the Auto Tune to work from?

The short answer is NO But really not enough info, are you staying with the same TB size, injector size etc. 10% will not be nearly enough in the VE tables. The better idea all else being equal would be to increase the CI table by perhaps 20 but again that's just a guess. Get it on a dyno and break it in properly while watching and knowing what you have going on. The tools are out there don't sell yourself short on the final product.

How these tuners are suppose to work is; Now you should have a cubic inch size of 107, and your injector size is what the injectors in the bike are. This way if you do want to change the actual cubic inch of the engine. Changing the cubic inch in the cal would be a good start.

What is the cubic inch in the calibration for the 107? If it is not 107. You can do some math with percent of difference of what is actual compared to calibration ( for example 5%) and the percent of change with 107 to 120 in engine actual size. Which is about 12.2. Then at that 17-18% to cubic inch in calibration and you will be close enough for something to start with.

Reason you just shouldn't add it to VE's because this will likely run you out of VE headroom and a cubic inch change will be needed anyway.

Thank you so much for the help and clear explanation. It really makes sense. I'll bump the cubic inch entry to 120 or maybe more and reset the injector size from the current 4.9 to the new 5.3's that I will be using.

Who you buy the Power Vision from?
If from FuelMoto, just call or email them and they will send you an updated tune to start with...

Good advice from Hrdtail78. That's the way it's "supposed to work".
So increase the ci by 15 and change the inj size to the 5.3 (if used).
This should get you to a qualified tuner for proper breakin and recalibration.

Then I would also change the injector size in the calibration along with the suggested cubic inch change. To be perfectly clear. I am suggesting this as a "starter" calibration.

Thanks for all the help guys, really appreciate the advice here. I think this is what I will do. I've used Power
Vision auto tune previously and it really gets things running very well after 10 or 15 tuning runs.

Wow, just looked at my current 107 tune and it shows 185 cubic inches in the displacement box. Could it have "scaled" rather than "capped" somewhere along the way using the auto tune? The bike runs great regardless of the 185 cubic inch value.

What is the cubic inch size in the calibration? I don't know what you got going on, but my advice was based on having 10-20 increase in the existing calibration. That much and I tend to think something isn't right. I have never had to get anywhere near that cubic inch in a calibration. Not even on engines that put out over 200hp.
