Default 2015 Oil light flickered and turned on - tip

Just wanted to share an experience I had today. My buddy came to get me in his 16 Iron to go for a ride to take advantage of the upper 60's weather we had today in NYC. I got on my 15 iron and off we go. I refueled and within 10 mins my oil light came on and we pulled into a gas station, at this point I'm thinking low oil. Pull the dipstick and find its at half way, so I buy a quart of 20/50w and fill up. We head out and light still on, so i head back home to search for solutions and let me tell you my heart dropped from hearing everything from oil pump failure to sending units. Last time i rode the bike was the day we was expecting snow and yup i got cough in it but made it home safe. long story short, salt got into the connections and was not making contact. I took some steel wool and cleaned both connections and fired it up and light its gone. Just wanted to come here and share this experience and hopefully help anyone with the same issue..

well never mind, took the bike out on a test run and the light came on 10 mins after, returned back home and will be changing the oil pressure unit. Anyone knows the part number? Looked all over harley site but cant find it.

26554-77C switch oil pressure

I suggest you verify oil pressure with a gauge before buying a new one. By the way, it's the same as the one on your buddy's '16.

In the future:
http://shop.outpostalaska.com/OEMpartfinder.htm

There are other sites that you can use but, the models and years are sometimes messed up. Outpost consistantly delivers results.
