Nice job and you can say you did it yourself. Makes me want to go out and find something like that. It's nice to have a garage project to play with.

Although my dad did 100% of the work, he wouldn't let me touch a single bolt on it... just how he is...

Also, he just ordered a S&S carb for $400 shipped. I'll let you know how that goes. I guess he's now into it for about $3,800 lol

I'm sure you was still there helping all the way. I always enjoyed helping my son work on his bike. I did most of the work even though the kid helped me work on my bike since he was about 3 or 4. It's a dad thing I guess. Ha!

id be cautious if i were you with that tire shine on your bike, could get slippery, also let me know how he likes the s&s carb. i have one and it stumbles a bit when you crack it open, not sure if thats an s&s thing or if im just not dialed in correctly

Thanks! Although that seems a bit optimistic, i'd say he could get about 5-6k for it. Must vary from our area... unless this bike is rare or something.

S&S he ordered I guess won't fit, so he's just gonna try to fix it some more.. or find an original. Also, it wasn't tire shine, it was chrome cleaner and we made sure we carefully put it only on the rim and cleaned it off after.

CV carbs are an easy r&r. check out nightrider.com for cv carb info. So great seeing an evo back on the road.
