Default Much you paid stock vs how much invested in mods?

I'm really curious about what people paid, invested and much more they plan to invest, but I'm not sure how comfortable people feel about giving rough financials. We do mods and accessories and sometimes forget how much we have invested in this passion (or we purposely don't wanna know lol).

I'll start. My 2013 slim was about $13k and added on a stage 1 and white walls bringing the total to about 15kish. Mods and accessories hmm (fender kit, lighting, head lamp cover, Mustang seat+passenger seat, spring seat kit) ...about 4k I think. So I'm at about $20kish I think.

So like $7k in upgrades, ugh my god that's painful. For future, my wish list is a springer front end ($2k?), exile clean handle bars (don't know cost) and sampson sidewinder exhaust ($1k w installation cost and wrap). So about $3k-4k more I hope and I'm all done.

For me it's worth it because I plan for this to be my last and only bike.

I've lost track on mine. There's more to go but so far: (Canadian dollars)

Rocker: ball park 10k in parts, paid 16k for it.

Bones: ball park 7k in parts, paid 14k for it.

Both includes 0.00 in labour as I've done all work myself.

I don't plan on parting with either of them. If I can convince the wife a Road Glide will be joining them & that will be very pricey to get it to what I have visioned in my head.

Got a great deal on the bike itself, $12,000 with less than 800 miles on it back in Jan of 2010. I don't even want to think about what I've put into it since in mods, and I'm not done yet. My new floating brake rotors just came in.

Haha, actually when I started our dollar was worth more than yours, then was floating around par for a while, just recently it tanked so I'm cutting back on the mods unless our dollar starts coming back up.

Nice bike! I think the painful point is when your mods finally exceed the cost of your bike :/

2013 Deluxe 17,399

Swing arm bag and engine guard, about 400.00
Pipes,air cleaner,stage one dyno tune 2000.00
BB reproduction bags 736.00
Sissybar,backrest mounts,lock 500.00
Touring pillion 200.00
Carlini gangster apes, mounts install 1528.00 = 5364.00

I still will put some saddlebag guards on and some footrests as my wife says the pegs hurt her feet. After that I am done except for maybe a windshield. so about another $1000.00

My bike is currently waiting on the cables to come in and then i get it back. Wait is hard. I ride all the time no matter the weather.
