Default Winter Storage in TEXAS.

I know that our winters don't really kick in until about January and even then it is still warm enough to ride at least a few days a month, so my question is do I need to do anything special during the time that my bike may be sitting for a month or so.

My current oil has 2200 miles on it, I am going to change it before the temp gets below 50F, or at 3000 miles which ever comes first.I am running Amsoil products in all three holes. I travel with my job, usually 4 weeks at a time, so that's the reason for the question.
I guess my question is, if I am still going to ride my bike at least once or twice a month (maybe more if I am home)during the winter, do I need to do anything special?

You dont need to do anything special. Its not like its going to be sitting for months on end. It will be fine!

I'd get a battery tender to keep the battery fresh. It'll help the battery last quite a bit longer. I have a Black & Decker model I got at Wally World for $20 that I use on one of the bikes we don't ride as frequently.

I don't do anything different in winter, other than if I know The bike will be parked for a few days I plug in the battery tender.

When I *lived* in Lubbock, that's what I did. STA-BIL won't hurt, either.

Riding once a month should be no problem,
maybe put in Satbil in the fuel tank before you leave foe a month though.

What does Stabil do? Should this only be done when it's cold, or anytime the bike sits for a month?
