Ok, obviously I know that accutronix forward controls fit the 2007 fatboy... but which other brands that you are aware of bolt straight on? If you have some on your bike please post photo and details as I have a few friends that want some and I am going to import some but they don't wanna spend what I spent on the accutronix ones!

I'd like to know this as well since it is on my to do list. I know accutronix like you have are pricey and the kuryakyn forwards/floorboard eliminators are in the 600's too which seems high compared to all the standard forward control kits for other bikes. What's everyone else using for floorboard equipped bikes?

I have 07 FatBoy and looked into it. I liked the Accutronix so I stopped looking. The Accutronix did not say much about fitting the fatboy so I called them. I would call these manufacturersand see if they do fit 07-08 fatboys. Thunder Heart Performance,http://www.hawghalters.com/forward-controls.html, Performance Machine, Pro-One, Billet Concepts, Wicked Image, http://jaybrakeoriginals.com/. Thunder Heart does some unusual things w/forward controls so they probably do fit Bikes originally supplied w/floorboards. I would ask about how aftermarket exhausts might effect mounting the forward controls. Just some info.

 

I got some off of an 07 Standard for my 07 Fatboy. I paid 60 bucks off of Ebay. They were complete including the master cylinder. They bolted right on with no mods at all. Oh yeah they were new take offs.

Could this be right, has bigjako solved the problem for us. Couldnt be that easy - could it ?. Deano and others have spent over a thousand dollars on theirs and bigjako comes along and says he did it for a mere 60.

 

Trust me it was that easy. Everything bolted on.Brake line. Shift linkage.Everything. One of the easiest mods I have done.

 

Wow, thats the answer i was looking for. I wasnt looking to spend a grand on billet forwards, so this may be it. Can you either post up or pm what all parts you needed for the swap? Thanks, this may have just became my next mod

This is intresting.....I have wonderd about this for a while. I was going to try to put forward controls off a 07 night train on my 07 fatboy, but couldnt get the seller low enough on price. I figured you would atleast have to change out the brake line or something. If all this is true then why would you have to buy harley take-offs.....why couldnt you just buy a set of aftermarket forward controls for a 2000-2007 softail?? If the take-offs fit the fatboy then the aftermarkets that are made to replace the take-offs should fit too.

Any thoughts or comments??
