Default Fat Boy saddle bag attachment

I am looking at the Easy Bracket system to attach saddle bag to my 2006 Fat Boy. Anyone out there use them? Thoughts on Installation etc? Thanks, Jack

I think it all depends on the bags you use. If your bags do not have back supports, go with Easy Brackets or Ghost Brackets. If your bags have supports like the Harley bags go with Barebacks.

I have them on my 2005 Fatby and am happy with them. Very fast on and off and the hardware left on the bike is not noticeable (studs/ mounts)

Thanks much- I already have the mounts for a detachable backrest so thought I might be able to use them for the Easy Brackets. I haven't purchased the easy brackets yet so wanted to check around to see how people liked them. Jack

Nice bike! The bag bracket looks like the ones I have seen in JP cycle. Is that where you purchased them and I assume they work pretty well for the throw over bags. I actually have some throw over bags that I was going to attach with the easy brackets but If I could use a bracket like yours it would be much cheaper and work just as well. I too do not want to relocate and I ride alone so I don't care if they bags are throw over. Are your bags pretty stable with that kind of single bracket. Thanks for the feedback. Jack

You won't need those chrome bolt on brackets if you use easy brackets

I was going to use the easy brackets but you have to relocate the turn light. These areDrag Specialtiesfor a 84-99 fxst part number DS110848. I got these because they stick out the same on each side. because they used a 200mm tire they are perfect. If you look at my link you will see the very large bagsI got and they ride great. I added the pinion seat when i used then to not only hold then on but more places to put things such as a passenger.

I bought my bags from Fox Creek Leather - Fatboy Bags. With the easy brackets for the 08 models you do not have to relocate turn signals.
