Default installing new headlight, wiring question

I bought an aftermarket headlight, with clear lens, tri bar,and H4 bulb. Two wires red and yellow. Black sleeve over the wires. Doesn't the factory headlight have 3 wires, one for hi beam indicator? What is the best way to wire this and do I give up the hibeam indicator? Thanks

Default RE: installing new headlight, wiring question

I just changed my headlight on my 06 FXSTI yesterday. I had three wires..black=ground...yellow=low beam...white=high beam. your light probably grounds through the mount. If it doesnt get a good ground you can always run a separate wire from the light to somewhere on the triple tree. your high beam indicator should still work.
