Default 240mm pros/cons

Thinking about installing a 240 wide rear on my '08 Fat Boy. Anyone who has done this have any feedback on pros/cons?? Is handling affected at all?

Do not go there. I made the mistake and I suffering. I had to change the front tyre to a 19' to be able to get some proper turning power. The problem sinks in as soon as you go on a slow turn. The bike does not want to get up and you have to pull it. If you want you can change to a 18' rim with a metzeler which looks fatter and you will make the bike better than stock.

To each his own for sure! I have NO problem with my 240 in riding one up or 2, or whatever kind of road i'm on. My only problem came from lowering the bike, which causes my floorboards, and sometimes, my exhaust to scrape a bit, but that is not the fault of the 240.
It handles perfect for me, and I couldn't be happier!

I guess the only con would be that I went with a PM kit instead of a Heartland kit. The PM kit does NOT give you any options as far as racks, 2nd seat, etc...

My train with the Heartland Bobber kit, has to be "ridden"
that is to say you gotta do a little pushin and pullin on the bars,
ya know kinda like ridin a motorcycle, nothin but fun!
