Default New 200mm Rear Tire

I had the stealer install a new 200mm tire on my '07 Custom last week and it was different from the original. I think the original was a D205, but the one they installed was a D207. The tread pattern looks a little different and the rubber seems to be thicker. It says Harley-Davidson on it. Has Harley made the change to increase mileage? I got less than 7k out of the original.

I didn't care for the Dunlop's and switched them to Metzlers me880's and love them. Plus I got a 210 on th eback now instead of the 200. I can't tell you how many miles I have got so far because lately I have attracted some nails.

I ran Pirellis for a little while. I'd get about 5K milage out of them on the rear. I could have gotten an extra 1-2k on them, but I'd rather be safe than sorry with tires. I can say the Dunlops get better milage than the Pirellis. I'm about 8k on the front (16") and it needs to be changed. I'm going back to Dunlops and may try Metzler the next tire change.

My front 21" still looks fine, but when I came home after a 300 mile ride one day the rear had cord showing. Scared me enough that I trailered it the 60 miles to the dealer for a replacement.

Avon Storms is my recommendation for a great handling and lasting tire. Many use it on the zx-14 and it has gotten great reviews. It is what I will be putting on when the stock tires go.

Looking for what fits our bikes it looks like the Venom for the front and the Cobra for the rear.
Great tyres either way.
