Default Detachable Sadlebags for '06 Deluxe

I have an '06 FLSTNI Softail Deluxe and I have installed:

Softail Swingarm Axle CoverPart #48112-00
One-Piece Detachable Passenger Sissy Bar Upright Part #53618-05
Tall Backrest Pad for Softail One-Piece Upright Part#51587-05
Vance & Hines Longshots

My hopes are that I will be able to find a set of larger detachablesadlebags that will not require me to loose any of my additions. But it is looking like everything that I have seen so far has required me to loose something.

I want detachables becasue I like the ability to strip my bike down to the bare esentials on a whim. I also have spoken with everyone about the lack of size the "Deluxe" style bags have due to needing to fit over the "over, under" exhaust style of the stock pipes. But I have the V&H Longshots, so that's not a problem.

Welcoming ideas.......

I'm pretty sure you can use the Boss Bags. I have the detachable backrest kit and had the HD axle covers and used them with the factory pipes which sit higher than the long shots do.

www.bossbags.com or www.leatherpros.com
They have several capacities available - From bossbags site "All bags are numbered according to how many twelve ounce cans (i.e. soda, beer, etc.) fit in each side of the bag. We range from: 22, 26, 27, 31, 34, 36, 38 and 42 can capacity bags. See which one fits your bike clicking your bike on our homepage."

There's another member on this site that is releasing bags - HogDeluxe. I'm waiting for him to release his bags for production. www.hogdeluxe.com

Easy brackets claim they have brackets that are compatible with your setup and they are offered with many of the aftermarket bags. Boss bags are pricey but good bags. Also try ospreybags.com They offer multiple styles suitable for a deluxe and are priced at about half to the Boss bags...with the easy bracket included.

Take a look at leatherpros.com. I have a set of them and they are great. The come off very clean with very little left on the bike when taken off.

I can attest that they are truly waterproof in the most severe of downpours. They hold up well and look good.
Boss bags seem a bit nicer, but at more than 2x the cost.
