Default Softail detachable bags

I am looking for some great looking detachable bags for my '07 Fatboy. I've looked at Boss Bags but they are around $1,100. Really didn't want to spend that much. I was looking at a pair of 38's. I guess that has a double meaning.

Any ideas on bags for a Fatboy?????

If you are runnin g the Stock Exhaust, you are severly limited in size.

Wife has a Deluxe, and when she first got it, had the same problem. However, I did find a nice set from the Leatherworks. They look good, even after 3 years, they are well built, and very sturdy. Price is lower than Boss Bags, although the price does depend on size and options.

She has the 120 Angle bags with braiding and Basketweave to match the deluxe. With Easy Brakets, I paid under 700.00

Boss Bags are well worth the price. They are one of the best bags on the market and have a great quick disconnect system. IMO it would be 1,100 bucks well spent. If quick detach wasn't an issue, I would tell you to go with Iron Bags.

My wife has bags from leatherworks on her dyna and they are real nice bags with lots of different options as far as spots, conchos, lid style etc. They use the easy brackets which are quick on-off but kinda bulky looking for me. I got bags from leatherpros which are very well made bags also and use the same mounting system as boss bags. Again very quick and easy on-off. I paid $765 for mine and the wifes were $100 cheaper. Very helpful people at both places also. I don't think you could go wrong at either place.

Same family (brother) with a better quick detach system, and the back is shaped to fit your model bike (makes them fit closer in to the bike). Can order from him if no dealers close carry them.

+1 on the Leatherpros bags. Great quality and easily disconnected. Definitely worth a look.
