Default softail question

I know this "out there" and not many people would even want this...but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if mid controls could be mounted on a softail.

I'm a Sportster person but I've always had a thing for the Bad Boy and was wondering what the reality would be of mounting mids on one - since I can't reach the forwards (no way, no how).

Floorboards like on Fatboy, are do-able for me, but I was wondering about true "mids".

thanks!

Em

No smart a$$ answer from me dude. I too am short and own a NIGHTTRAIN, I have riden for over 40 years now , started out on a sportster and wish I could put mids on my TRAIN. I have searched with no luck so far but will keep you in mind if I find a solution. Ride safe and look out for the cagers.

Anthing can be done with enough $$$. Find a custom shop in your area, bet they can do it. Just plan on paying out tha A$$. good luck.

I wasnt being a smart but i was just telling you that i ride with foot on primary. I have been doing it for years since I saw a freind do it. Its extremely comfortable a brack would be easy to make but I would go Dyna overall because their a better platform and the ride is much more closer to the sportys

If it was possible, Harley would've done it. I asked the salesman why they didn't put mid controls and forward on the Rocker like the Fat Bob has. He said it's not possible on the Softail frame.

ok, thanks everyone who responded.
Yeah I figured it might not be a readily available mod. Maybe easier to stick w/Sporty!

thx ya'll.

Re: foot on primary...wow, for real?
Never seen that!
I've heard of Beemer riders putting their feet on the cyls that stick out to the side....

But Barjbar...I wouldn't swear by info a salesman gives me...I've had salespeople tell me some pretty wrong stuff before.
Just thinking maybe it could be swapped to the Fatboy floorboard set-up, if not actually to mids.
Or heck maybe it would alllllll require major surgery and mess up a really pretty stock bike.

Nightrain, sure if you ever here of a solution, I'd love to know, and good luck. Nightrain is a way sweet bike too.

Good thing I like the Sporty, huh?
take care,
Em
